The contract consisted of the demolition of the existing pre-fabricated industrial units to make way for a new 800 bed student accommodation with associated amenities.
Previously the site was occupied by Norman Hay who specialises in the surface treatment and impregnation of ferrous components to a variety of manufacturing and engineering organisations.
The existing establishment is a typical industrial design appropriate with the construction characteristics representing that period of time, the existing external fabric is of a brick and mortar baseline assembly with a vertical profiled cladding fa├žade with a profiled clad pitched roof leading down to flat land valley gutters. The open plan storage units behind are typical steel frame with profiled clad pitched roof. Purposely designed to cater for all manner of industrial processes, the existing layout is divided into generous sized portions to accommodate various processes.
The site was demolished and cleared within a period of 10 weeks.

David Carter Managing Director said " this contract represented a typical demolition project which took 10 weeks to complete. We have the ability and expertise to undertake projects of this nature throughout the UK".
